Minnesota Ice Fishing – Lake of the Woods Ice Fishing Report Video 12-25-11

The Wigwam Fisherman and the Wigwam crew get one final day on the hard water before the Christmas holiday consumed us. We fished deeper than we had before this season in 29 feet of water and the fish are everywhere! Not only are we getting some bigger Walleyes out deep, but I also heard that in 14 feet of water out of Lighthouse Gap in the evenings it has been on FIRE!!!! The pink Charmer from Tom’s Tackle is cleaning up, not only with us, but also with most of our guests…it simply works. Merry Christmas from myself and the rest of the crew at the Wigwam Resort…Happy Fishing and God Bless!

@vikingsman217 Sir…the night bite is pretty none existent on Lake of the Woods. They call Lake of the Woods a working mans lake, 9 am to 5 pm (or when the sun is out). On overcast days we’re looking at using the glow pinks, whites and greens. On sunny days we’re looking to have any type of gold on the lure. The Pink Charmers, pink and gold Stop Signs, Macho Minnows, some basic plain gold/pink jigs, and sometimes plain glow hooks with a live minnow work the best. Everyday is a new day…
