How To Fish A Lip RipperZ Trout Worm for Trout and Crappie

www.LipRipperZ.com This particular color fished in this video is the Chartreuse Shine Trout Worm by Lip RipperZ. About 2.5 inches long which can be split shotted, drop shotted or jigged for trout and crappie. The technique used in this video is called jigging on either a 1 ounce or 1/16 ounce jighead. Trim off half inch of the worm right above the vein of the trout worm and thread on your jighead so the worm and jighead are completely straight. This will give it a real nice erratic action that will drive the fish crazy. Toss out there, let it sink near the bottom, however dont let the jig physically hit the bottom or you will often get stuck on the bottom. Bounce your rod tip up and down slowly and reel in just fast enough to keep all the slack out of the line. You want to be using an ultra light fishing pole so your able to feel everything your plastic worm is doing under the water. A bite will feel like your stuck on the bottom, and when this happens, reel down hard untill theres lots of pressure and set the hook! Make sure to watch your line, as many times the fish will hit the jig and run sideways really fast before letting go. As you watch your line, focus in on the part of your line hitting the water . You will see your lines dimple going up and down vertically as your jigging vertically. If you see this water dimple shoot left, right, or in an awkward direct, reel down and set the hook! A lot of times you wont even feel a bite, and if you didnt see your line twitch

Im thinking of buying a couple trout worm packs and love sauce scents …. What size of line should i use? i got a 7″ rod with a very sensative tip

  9. maybe 8

  10. joelkavkaz says:

What hook size did you use??

  11. HATINTHEKAT says:

what lb test line are you using? and what rod is that? it seems to really get that little bait out there!

  12. HATINTHEKAT says:

… its the lip ripperz trout worm, its kinda on the title, descr, and its their product…………. yeah…..

  13. mmmmmarcus says:

I generally have better results if I “randomize” the jigging.

Sometimes, I’ll do a quick left-right-left snap, then a single upwards jig.

  14. commanderdouche says:

I caught a 13lb steelie on a spoon, and a 8lb steelie on a mepps spinner, just today, does thast mean spoons are better then spinners for steelies? fuck no!!!!! It was just what that fish was feeling at the time, you freakin noob

  15. bughumming says:

Is that a 7′ or 8′ rod you are using? Which is better for that type of jigging?

  16. XxNeonSpacexX says:

i caught a 12 lb rainbow with a trout magnet and a 7 lber with lip ripperz. they work good but go with trout magnet you get more strikes

  24. lakai4187 says:

do you guys hand pour your own baits? cause i designed some baits for bass but now im wanting to design a trout worm for the cold seasons! nice fish on your other vids too!

  25. kbullington24 says:

@TheBassking86 thanks for watching. How do you figure it hinders on a long cast?

  26. TheBassking86 says:

nice video just 1 thing though a fast tip does give you a good hook set but not from a long distance it takes a lot longer to set the hook on a long cast which is where a fast action tip has its downfalls

  27. JSBassMasters says:

Also, do you you know of a rod that a “all around rod”?

  28. JSBassMasters says:

ok thanks!!! any rod you perfer?

  29. kbullington24 says:

@JSBassMasters With that being said, I don’t use a lot of 1/4 ounce baits, so I make do with a 7′ ish medium heavy power moderate fast action rod and that for fits the bill for just about all of that topwaters I throw except for the heaviest baits. This rod will throw a Puppy and a Rebel DECENT, but it excels at the 3/8 ounce all the way to 3/4 ounce baits. It’ll throw an ounce but only decently. I’ll do a video this week on this topic.

  30. kbullington24 says:

@JSBassMasters The Zara Puppy is a smaller bait and therefore you may want to use a different rod than what you would use for a Super Spook and Zara Spook. I personally would use a 7′ ish medium power moderate to moderate fast action and this rod would be the same rod you would use for the smaller popper like the Rebels and those alike.

  31. JSBassMasters says:

zara puppys walk the dog style baits

  32. JSBassMasters says:

whats a good top water rod? anyone??

  33. kbullington24 says:

Im going to do a video about that this week I think.

  34. what do you use for jerkbaits and jigs.

  35. Thanks for the advice, I think I am going to go with the crucial because I do more football jigs and pitching.

  36. kbullington24 says:

@vfels That Smoke seems really nice. I think you may get a heftier rod with the Crucial but you may like the lighter feel of the Smoke. Depends on Which of the techniques you’ll do more. More pitching and heavy jigs; Crucial heavy. More deep worms; Smoke heavy. Keep in mind, I’ve only held that Smoke rod. I have personal experience with the Crucial.

  37. Great review of the rod by the way, very informative.

  38. Do you think that this rod or the 7 foot 4 inch heavy action quantum smoke pt rod is better for football jigs, deep worms, and occasional pitching?

  39. kbullington24 says:

Ill try to do that soon. thanks for watching. PM me if you want answers sooner regarding that rod.

  40. markosboy82 says:

Heyman, great video!!! I would like a review about the Crucial crankbait rod!! I want to get it but I would like to see a review on it. Excellent review!

  41. RaguelAngelofBalance says:

My 6’8″ Crucial drop shot is the best walleye rod ever!

  42. kbullington24 says:

@Rabil99LAX Comfortable in your hand allowing you to work the rod easier because it feels balanced. Having more material behind your hand makes the rod feel like there very little material in front of your hand. Hope that helps.

  43. kbullington24 says:

@Rabil99LAX It will reduce the overall weight of the rod thus making it more sensitive…….. In my opinion however, i believe rod manufacturers do this to save more by not producing as much material for the rod. I also believe that having more weight in the butt section of the rod makes it feel more……

  44. Rabil99LAX says:

What is the benefit of a split grip rod

  45. kbullington24 says:

Thanks man. Are you using it for a certain technique or general purpose?

  46. barrycha916 says:

Good review sir. Just picked up mines a hour ago. 7’6 medium xfast. Taking it out to Folsom lake this weekend!

  47. kbullington24 says:

@TackleJunky81 Thats sweet. I have a lot of confidence in this rod to do a lot of “heavy” lifting. 😉 thanks for the support

  48. TackleJunky81 says:
