Gummy Worm Fishing for Bass

My sister sent me some nasty tasting gummy worms from Hawaii. I hated them but I thought a bass would take a bite. Here are the results.

“Patented Lure Out-fishes Live Bait 3 to 1; Could be Banned.” – As featured in ‘The Wall Street Journal’ and ‘In-Fisherman’. Yes, this breakthrough new lure, called the WALKING WORM out-fished live bait 3:1 – and ALL other lures, after it was independently-tested by pro’s in a Florida bass tournament. It works so well, it’s now world-famous and over 10-Million have been sold. Why is it so effective? Well, its patented-design makes it the only fishing worm to CONSTANTLY CURL – ON ITS OWN, while in the water! Constant movement mimics the live action of a real worm (an absolute favorite food of many fish – especially BASS!). Constant-movement triggers a genetic strike response in predatory fish, which is why “live bait” is considered “cheating”(and prohibited) – thus the use-of live bait is almost always prohibited in tournament fishing, where prizes often go up to half a million dollars or more. It is this dynamic – within the world of competitive-fishing, which caused talk of actually banning the Walking Worm from certain fishing contests that involve winning money. Rest-assured that you will be amazed by your catch-rate if you fish the Walking Worm. Its manufacturer, NGC SPORTS, offers it in a variety of colors and kit-options. To read more about it, or place an order, go to their website at www.NGCsports.com/Worms – or you can call them direct at 1-800-817-5172. Good Fishin’!

For a start you should start at the top of the worm and have the hook coming out at around the middle or just above and then when you reel put some action into it

bye the banjo minnow twice as better.i bought the walking worm i caught a carp no bass.so i returned it and bought the banjo minnow i went to the same lake and cought 5 nice sized bass in like 20min.so don’t bye it im warning you

  26. sk84lifem23 says:

My point is its illegal in tournaments and is hard to keep alive (they melt), and its easier dealing with something plastic. even if they werent illegal in tournaments no one would use it… you’ll catch twice as many bass with an artificial than normal.

  28. mmmmmarcus says:

That’s because you just let it sit. When you fish a live nightcrawler for bass, you either splitshot it, or use a sliding sinker rig (carolina rig), then you inch it around slowly.

When you do this, you’re supposed to use a big fat nightcrawler, and at LEAST a 1/0 worm hook. You WILL get a decent bass this way.

Generally bass nose-bump the bait first, so dont set the hook unless you feel a tap then a sudden weightlessness.

  29. juggnuttz says:

depends on where you are, at a beach or a boat launch, use a whole large size nightcrawler hooked thru the head and then back in (kinda like a plastic worm is hooked) and a sinker about 1 foot up from the hook. drop it in at about the 10 foot depth and have it sit on the bottom, the bluegill and stuff might nibble it, but Bass will suck it up and get hooked. caught alot of bass this way. give it a try sometime.

  30. stankalmighty says:

do they even have worms that live in water?

  31. whtvoutdoors says:

i think your gonna get your money back

  32. sk84lifem23 says:

if they aint bannin the alabama rig they aint gonna ban this shit!!!

  33. sk84lifem23 says:

tried it but the blugill and little baitfish take the bait… its more effective to use plastic

  34. mmmmmarcus says:

No thanks. I dont want your AIDS.

  35. mmmmmarcus says:

“real bait sucks for catching bass” Yeah right! lol! Go flyline a live bluegill and tell me that again!

  36. mmmmmarcus says:

That’s definitely not true. Try using a worm hook and t-rig a live nightcrawler! You -WILL- catch some nice bass!

this is a clever invention hope to see it in stores soon, sure as hell ain’t gonna order it online though.

  40. greenfish13 says:

i’ve caught, small/large mouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, and had some days where i couldn’t sit down because the rainbow trout were coming off the hooks. I have also seen flounder caught from a harbor by some fishermen with worms.
Worms are the tried and true method for any freshwater fisherman, as fishermen we all know the conditions have to be right, while i have great luck with worms most of the time sometimes worms suck and salmon eggs work better better.

    I love those tv shows

  42. bdawg5415 says:

actually i catch trout surprisingly it works great i catch my limit on them in less than an hour every time

  43. MrBassmaster2002 says:

but overall the best lure is the fishing snake black moccasin i caught 2 13 pounders on them and many 8 pounders along with 10 to 15 10 punders it beats every lure easy

  44. MrBassmaster2002 says:

i bought won 3 days ago i went out yesterday to my pond i caught 5 3 pounders and 2 6 pounders its amazing a nother good one is the mighty bite

  45. rchassereau says:

Real bait sucks for catching bass. I know, because I have went fishing for over 15 years now. Some of the best lures I have used include spinnerbaits, crankbaits, plastic baits, rattletraps, and especially beetle spins. Many artificial lures do work, remember that color is important, and not all of these types of products work. Using a worm you would catch a catfish or a blue gill. With minnows you might catch crappie, and shad you would most likely catch bass. Presentation is everything.

  46. Lol, they used the same ad for the kicktail lure

  47. sonic1549 says:

Can you still order even if it was 2 years ago

  48. SuperAvi06 says:

    does this really work!
